I have worked in many different jobs prior to going into mental health counseling, including the U.S. Postal Service, Starbucks, Pioneer Human Services, Highline School District, and various restaurants, retail, and manufacturing companies. I was born and raised in Seattle and attended Seattle public schools. I began my college career at Western Washington University and transferred to The Evergreen State College earning a B.A. in Liberal Studies. Meanwhile I worked as a para-educator in a classroom for middle school students with severe emotional and behavioral needs and also as a residential counselor at a secure residential crisis center for teenagers. I earned my M.A. from Antioch University and graduated in June, 2006. I have been employed as a clinical supervisor with Sound Mental Health(formerly Seattle Mental Health) since June, 2006, providing mental health services to high-risk, mentally ill youth and their families.
